While Tumblr was never a good place for me, it sucks that it's having it's problem take place in mid December. It's a hard enough time, especially for those who rely on online communities. I know it wasn't intentional, they just wanted back in the ap store ASAP.

Next time anyone complains about AO3 not being in the ap store, hopefully this example will be useful.

Some of fandom is moving to twitter and I just can't fandom in that format. Also, I'd need a second account.

Pillowfort doesn't have fetch previews so I am not going to put time and effort into the place. I am tempted to make a long post with pictures explaining the problem because I keep having to explain it. Basically, it's a site built around the 'content sharing' style of fanning, but you can't share from off-site without stealing content from fan artists or other creators.

Hopefully, DW keep humming along. My ironstrange and photographyon communities have a decent number of users. Lots of new comms are popping up. If I can get people other than me comfortable with posting, they could have self sustaining momentum.

December is the worst time to start comms or do anything social media. I hope all the new comms take hold, but what a slog starting this time of year is might do some in.
