I've started a Wodehouse Comm called
jeevesandwooster. I've really wanted to for a while, but didn't want to wind up getting back into comm running/modding. With this I have 3 active comms and I've decided that's the limit. Running 3 comms is manageable, but no more.
I wanted a more general name, but so many names were taken. The comm name I really want is from a now-deleted journal so I'd need a rename token to snag it.
There used to be a thriving Jooster comm on LJ, but the comm got locked and them abandoned by the mods. People couldn't join or even see unless they were already in. It looks like the comm got unlocked, but years of being locked killed it. Honestly, I should have started a DW version years ago.

Date: 2018-12-24 10:43 am (UTC)From:I'm running two comms already but like, I've been thinking a lot over setting up a general Discworld comm, so I might copy your rule and have jthe three comms running. Hopefully as more people filter back over to Dreamwidth, there'll be more people to help run comms and stuff.

Date: 2018-12-24 11:11 am (UTC)From:I wish we had a Fandom Mods comm to have resources like banner codes and guides on promoting comms. Polls are great for getting a comm active. I have a paid account so I can post post polls to people's comms for them. But, running that is a step farther than I can go right now. Helping Imzy comms take off only to have the platform fall apart has me not wanting to get that deep into things right now.
Good Omens coming out will likely cause a spike of interest in Pterry's work. It may be a good time to start one.
