I've seen others do this, so why not? One of my fics is still unrevealed, but it's in a tiny fandom and isn't going to even get double digit kudos. I would be happy to be wrong, especially as I am halfway through a sequel, but it's unlikely.

I started actually posting fic again in March of 2018 after having not for a long time. This was due to a number of reasons, including the fact that I was seriously injured in 2016 and when my doctor found out I was trying to write about 6 months after the injury she nearly panicked at me doing something that stressful. I did GYWO in 2017 and, unsurprisingly, did not make my goal or post fic. Once I started completing stories, I got them done at about a rate of one per month. In 2018, I published 12,879 words and got 503 kudos and 7 user subscriptions. My writing would likely have gotten more views but I was a bit late to the party on IronStrange. My first IronStrange fic Floating Away was in a exchange and it glitched out of ever appearing in /new on AO3 or being picked up by RSS feeds. It happened to a few fics in that exchange and the difference in views between the fics that populated the database right and those that glitched was massive.

I am happy to be in an active fandom and having other people actually ship and draw my pairing. This is really rare for me. My work is getting lost in the shuffle because IronStrange produces a LOT of fic and art. But this is way better than my usual situation of being in a canoe or a ghost ship.

My top kudos'd work was A Taste of Strange at 132. My most bookmarked was A Sorcerer's Request.

The first fic I posted after my long hiatus was the Jooster fic Away For The Holidays. March is not a great time for holiday fic, but oh well. I'd wanted to post it in December but couldn't figure out an ending. At the time, the place for Wodehouse fandom was on a locked LJ comm no one could join or interact with, because the mods were MIA. It has since been unlocked, but my frustration at not having a place to post said fic where Wodehouse fans would see it is why I finally made a DW Wodehouse comm: [community profile] jeevesandwooster. I did not post my fic to my own community because making a comm and then posting 'read my fic!' seemed a little spammy. I just want to grow the comm and establish a community here for now. So yeah, I literally made a comm because I had no place to promote my fic but now don't want to post my own stuff because I am the mod :)

There is one fic on my profile I am not happy with. I was just trying to push myself to actually finish and post stuff. Outside of that, I am really happy with the actual quality of what I wrote. The themes, the descriptions, the plots and the tone of the banter, etc. I spent a lot of time on A Sorcerer's Request getting the fic's tone just right, and also making sure my descriptions of lost wax casting was correct.

For next year I intend to write a few more fics for tiny/ancient fandoms that will get no readers. I also intend to really buckle down on a long IronStrange fic that I really want to write. I have chunks of it done. It will take a lot of editing and iterating. I need to get a bunch of stuff done before A4 happens and we get new canon. Ideally, I will also start in on my orig fic, but one thing at a time.
