It was amazing. It did 1,001 things and made it all a cohesive whole. From the meta to the humor to the frame rates. This film was not over hyped.
I enjoy posting my thoughts on films and shows, etc. It's hard to really post about this without just having be a long list of X was awesome and Y was awesome and wow the symbolism of the debris in the final fight scene, etc. If I tried I'd just sound kinda nutty.
There is one thing I want to point out, though. The big mid movie fight scene was in a forest, a background we rarely see for clashing supers. The only way to make a Spiderman fight scene that beautiful was to take it out of the city. A city would would have felt familiar and most viewers would tune it out a little. Putting the fight in the context of a birch forest was amazing. Meanwhile, as much as I love MCU, it's been struggling for years to make it's middle-of-city-big-highway-chase-fights scenes still engaging.
The people who made this had their shit together on every level. It's just a shame that I had to wait and then also watch it in ten minute chunks.
