I really enjoyed it. I usually avoid dramas about relationships, this as pretty close to the sort of film I can't be dragged to see. I was expecting more rock and roll punching and less feelings. It was really well done, though. Not heavy handed and no freakin' romance. I loved all the characters. Brie's performance was amazing.
Nearly everything I want to say about this this has to do with the months of hand wringing I've seen about the film. Months of fans saying that they 'have' to watch the film to get the full set up for Endgame. You don't Keven Feige isn't holding a gun to your head. Of all the Marvel films, this is one of the most skippable in terms of Avengers shiz. Go, be free!
Stan was reading the script to Mallrats! So, randomly, Mallrats was the first time I heard of Stan Lee. I was very much a DC girl for a long time. I was unfamiliar with him, name didn't even ring a bell, before Mallrats.
They went all out for scene composition. Lovely shots.
I love Lee Pace, but so much for this film redeeming Ronan by giving him more depth. WTF is up with that?
The humor was great throughout. They really kept on point with the themes about finding yourself and what being in control of one's self means.
Oh, and having Fury do the 'brush as microphone' moment that is a must for all chick flicks was a nice inversion. He was written fantastically throughout.
