(yes, I am being lazy and just using my WP formatted images here.)

Sorting these pictures was a mess. On one hand they had cool things in them and I didn't want to cut any. On the other hand, the sheer amount of people meant I couldn't get the shots I wanted without tons of people in them. Looking at these pictures I can see in my mind's eye the ten times better shot that was possible. So I sort of love and hate all these pictures. My main gallery is there, but there will also be more shots below the cut.

The shoots were also exhausting because I was walking on sand and I have no sense of balance. I have good core stability, but no balance. I was walking for miles over an unsteady surface carrying camera gear and coffee. I'd get back to my tiny studio mentally exhausted and crash on the murphy bed.

I planned to do a lot more in Neskowin, including hike into Cascade Head, but both my body and brain were like nope, you are going to sleep a lot.

One of the Lensbaby shots:

I really need to use it more. I need to be less afraid of manual lenses. I am so used to autofocus, but focusing isn't that hard when shooting landscapes.

A rainy day shot:

I got to shoot it on a sunny day and a dreary nice. So nice to get both. I also walked out for an evening low tide during the sunset, but we didn't get much of a sunset on any night. The last night was super foggy. If I'd gone back out I'd have gotten some great coastal shots, but I just sort of sat there and went, yup, that is some photogenic fog.

The bed:

And the view:

You see that bridge thingie? An advertised feature of where I was staying was access to a bridge over two of the streams. You are supposed to be able to get to most of the beach without walking through streams. But, the streams moved after they built that bridge. Now it's just an awkward and slippery way down to the beach. So, I just had to be barefoot on coarse Oregon sand.

The trip was an exhausting adventure in many ways. I am really glad I went. Neskowin Beach is really cute. Seeing the Ghost Forest was awesome. The trip took the stuffings out of me, though.
