I have finally seen Rocky Horror Picture Show in a theater with shadow cast, virgin games and props! It's been shown/done consistently at this location for over 40 years now. I think subculture traditions like this are important and I am so glad I finally went, and on such a choice weekend.
I was with a meetup group and none of us knew each other. I don't know if the rest of the people were a bit put off by it, or just not cool with letting go a bit in a group of people they didn't know. When the cast was trying to hype the crow pre-show with YMCA I was the only one doing it. It's like, the cast is trying so hard to get the crowd hype, give 'em a little energy back. Also, I can't be expected to have shame at a RPHS show showing.
It was fun, but I'd like to go with people I actually know and maybe after having had a beer first. I can't believe it took me so damn long to finally go to one of those events and I'm amazing they still happen on the regular.
And then today I did a corn maze and tromped around in a pumpkin field carrying a pumpkin. I am so damn tired it's untreal.
