While I was at Escapade, several people told me that since I live in Portland I should go to bitchinparty which I'd also never heard of. I am torn. I at least have talked to some of the people going, unlike at Escapade, but it's also coming up so soon. I have a lot on my plate so another trip seems like a lot but, I have a lot on my plate so having another trip might be a good break. If it's even a quarter as good as Escapade it would be worth it, but I am not going to decide for a few days.

Also, the name is a reference to Dante's Cove which I just started watching last week. I am halfway through the second episode.

if it's feasible, you might well enjoy BP - I've attended most since the first, and always have a blast. it's a small con (no dealers room) with cool people and usually interesting panels - plus the usual vid show and dance party.

I am going to go if I can, now that I know about it!

I did go to Wincon once and I'd heard of Contxt, but somehow the ones I should be going to passed me by.

Bitchin' Party is the fan con where I consistently have had the best time, so I say go for it. The train ride up is nice, if you'd prefer that to driving, and a local might be able to pick you up and drop you off if you go to the ride page.

I am going to try to go. I'll almost certainly be on the train. It looks like the hotel is hear some hiking areas and I am tempted to stay another day, but this time I should just go and come back.
