Panic buying should be recognized as Portland's official sport. Anything from a wisp of smoke from St Helen's to possible snow and the stampede begins. Since I have food allergies which limits what foods I can buy, what soaps I can use and what medicines I can take, I always keep some stuff on hand. Supply disruptions mess me up more than most so maintain a stock so I don't have to panic buy.

Just to top myself up I placed a grocery delivery order. It just arrived and the lady told me that the package of TP she was dropping off for me was the last one in the distribution center and that is it for the weekend. No one else ordering TP will get TP. Now I feel kinda bad.

Anyway, it is 6 rolls of Charmin, the good stuff. Bidding starts at...

AHAHAH. I was out in all that today, and it was kind of insane. But I think you have a definite point on the Sport of Panic Buying.

Safeway ran radio commercials for panic buying during one of the snow scares. It's annoying, but it's also just Portland being Portland.
