I've never managed to engage in fandom on twitter, in any way I'd way to, until after Escapade. With Escapade, I had some idea of who to follow and some good starting points.

Today, a Trump supporter and mega-donor bought a stake and is looking to make changes there and out Jack Dorsey..

I know that people in Asian fandoms feel pretty locked into twitter because it's where they can follow the Asian artists and creators, and that is now more important since Ao3 is blocked in China as of yesterday.

I just ... arggg...

I remember liking social media. I used to be excited about twitter. Can I have the early 2000s back now?

Good news is they only have a 4% stake, so are more a noise-maker than an actual owner stake.

It's not good, but it could be way worse. When I posted we didn't know what the stake was yet.
