It's true, the PNW woods have all kinds of strange things! We currently live near Seattle. :P and that last house pic gives me such strange surreal vibes.

I saw two of them when I was driving somewhere late at night. I was able to loop back a bit the next day to nab a picture.

These are all lovely, but I'm really drawn to the first photo with the string lights and the lit "someday" sign. It's cheering and cozy somehow. Thank you for another lovely photoset!

Sadly, Someday opened just as lockdown started. Walking past during quarantine was an odd feeling, with that name. I wonder how they are doing.

The train is vibrant, and I have seen that minion, and another one like it. They're the kind of thing that I remember being in the same generalish vicinity as the Uncle Sam board.

I saw two headed to where I was staying on the Olympic Penninsula. It was dark and I was tired, but I was able to swing back around the next day and grab a shot.

Ohh, lovely photos! I loved especially the first two ones.

You know, as an audiodrama addict, I've come very acquainted with the Pacific northwest as a concept (thanks, Terry Miles and Tanis, Black Tapes, etc) but... it really is a weird place? That's both awesome and terrifying.

I mean it can be:


Oregon is pretty sparsely populated. Lots of deep forest, strange rock formations, Neskowin Ghost Forest, lots of abandoned places and old rail lines. Lots of places that are still hard to get to, caves and springs people hide the locations of, places not indexed, etc. So it can definitely have that sort of a vibe.

I shot it shortly before I was pretty much over PNWS stuff and never did anything with the pic. I miss when TBT was still good.

Yeah, the first two seasons were pretty good and the third... just a giant *flop*

But the picture is gorgeous!
