Sometimes I forget I am from another dimension

If the timelines are correct about travel and stuff, I might take a trip back to where I grew up next November. Parks and beaches are 'residents only' where I am from so I'd need to wait until late enough in the year that they stop checking residency cards if I want to go anywhere.

I was looking at a place to stay near the old house and this is the lobby:



They advertise that the rooms have 'Neorests'. Turns out that is a very expensive kind of toilet with 'E-Water Plus' and also has a charcoal filter to suck in smells.

Man, I forgot how weird my hometown is.

I keep looking at that photo and wondering "why?" at pretty much all the elements

Well, I can't recommend either growing up there or visiting. Visitors can't actually get anywhere interesting. Also, most of the actual coast is private. There is no right of way. Very little access to anything as residents, even less for non-residents.

Also the restaurant at this place serves veal. I haven't seen that on a menu in decades.

when I need to take my private jet to a restaurant for veal, I'll be sure to ask you for the name/address. it may be a while though, as I believe it currently does not exist

Me, too. I don't think I'll stay there, though. Not many places to stay in my old town. Might stay in the nearest city.
