Someday...



Having a normal one in SE Portland, kneeling in the mud of an unpaved street to make sure I've got focus on the eyes of the... fire hydrant:



This is my last 2 or 3 walks combined. I haven't found a ton out there, but it's been good to walk. I've also been hitting the same areas a lot. If I go out tonight, I'm going to tack far west and hit some different areas.

I love all the skeletons! Especially the Very Busy Skeleton Business one.

Also dig the spooky doll/cloth figures.

And "Someday" is a GREAT shot.

Someday is a mood. I love the shot, but I might still try to get more of a feeling of distance.

As usual... nice job retaining the feel of darkness... and your ability to hold the camera steady as such slow shutter speeds is impressive!

Thank you! I think it helps that my camera has a good grip. I didn't realize that my shutter speeds were unusual until recently.

Someday is a big mood. Could be fun to play around with composition, something feeling even more distant. This one feels like it's *almost* within reach, but you can't quite get there.

The people a mile or so up the street from us have their cycling skelly out again for Halloween, but no helmet this year.

I tried for a low angle to make it seem more distant. I'll def have to play with it more when a get a chance. I like it, but making it feel more out of reach would be interesting.
