Portland from Tabor:







The lens flare problem in that last one... I get that a lot due to Portland using LED lights now. I'ts also handheld so the focus is ungood, but yard swings are a very good subject for lensbaby shots.

I like the top shot, but the rest are like rough drafts. There are shots there... but that ain't it yet.

Are you familiar with Eric L. Busby's Byron Chronicles audiodrama? Byron's tower is in Portland and the first shot reminds me of that a lot.

It's dark fantasy series that's started as far back as 2006. David Ault voices Byron which is one of the reasons I love the show.

That first one is definitely my favorite! The distance shot of Portland is cool, too. And I like the starburst effect of the lights in the second image.

I can see what you mean about some having a "rough draft" feel. But I think that as you learn more about making the lens do what you want, you'll be able to get the shots you're aiming for.
