* I upgraded Scriviener in the middle of writing last night, which was a dumb idea but hasn't lead to any major disaster... yet. I've been frustrated that every time I look up things about the program, they show a UI that has different options than mine. I thought the videos were out of date, but it was using the version that was replaced in 2018.

So, now I can look stuff up but I need to relearn a bunch of stuff, figure out what a binder is, have lost all my settings and custom templates. I am also someone how doesn't deal well with UI changes. They make me feel lost at first. I'll get used to it.

* Now I need to sit down and write and get used to it.

* I really need to edit what pics I have. Hopefully, I can do another long walk tomorrow.

* Maaaaybe if my scalp stays calmed down I can get a haircut in the next week or two.

I'm awful with UI changes. I know I need to just not be a baby about it, but I always struggle.

Still hoping to try Scrivener at some point! I hope it doesn't give you any issues and that you can get your settings and custom stuff back how you want it.

I always go through this steep learning curve of feeling totally disconnected, and the feeling like this is how the UI has always been!

The more I use Scriviner the more I like it. I am very leery of getting set up too much in a proprietary file format, but it's winning me over.

Same here! I struggle so bad with UI changes, and the learning curve always feels impossible. Though then I get over it, usually. Until the next change, haha.

I'm glad you like Scrivener! Proprietary file formats DO make me side-eye things a bit, but the program seems like it has a lot of really helpful features!

I just buoght scrivener a couple months ago, so I am still getting used to it too.
