* I set my planner up for next week and feel personally attacked that I had to write the word 'October'. I was going to have so much done before October! I still have time but... yikes... I did write several thousand words this week, but half where for a fic that will be drawerfic and the other was setting up a fic I am not actually going to write until next year. I am not starting that Steddie fic until not only 3 other Steddie fics are done, but Sharkstantine is done and my Leverage fic is done. I just wanted the plot / vibes written out. Now I need to focus on a fall fic... and fast.
* Moment of silence for that Jooster Halloween fic that I was totally going to squeeze in somehow.
* Baybel makes plant based mini-cheeses! Those little wax covered things from my childhood! They have for a while, but I've never seen it in a store before.
I got some and... it is vile. I hate wasting food but I might toss these. I like most vegan cheese. You kinda gotta know what is good for on cracker and what is good for melting onto pasta. Some doesn't taste like cow cheese at all, some you can stick on a very fancy cheese plate at your parent's holiday party and people will plow through it not knowing it's vegan and ask for more. I can make cheez sauce from nutritional yeast. Pretty much the only circs under which I'd eat this was if it was in a pack lunch and I had no other option so, maybe this is just designed for a captive audience.
But my disdain is an educated disdain.
The internet suggests the best use of them is breading, deep frying and dipping in marinara.
