* Heat wave this weekend and people are panicking. It's early enough in the year that it'll still drop to 60 overnight so while it'll suck a bit I'm not that worried... about people in the city. People thinking Oregon's waterways are safe is a whole 'nother thing. If I post in a few days that I am dying you can point to this post and laugh at me. (Also I live on the east side of town so I don't get as walloped by heat as the west)

* You might think that the WGA strike would end Stranger Things' fandom endless obsession with the starting date of filming, but oh no... oh oh no... People have taken the Duffer's statements as confirmation of the dates they claim are correct. First, there is no start date. It's delayed. Second, this is a massive production. Them building sets doesn't mean you can math out the start of principle photography.

I'd explain stranger things start date discourse but it's very dumb and these people have no clue how tv show production actually works. The fact that they are still fighting over who is right no literally no one can be right pretty much says it all.

Oof, it does sound early in the year for the temps you're getting, but at least 60s is pretty comfortable for overnight cooldowns.

The start date stuff in ST fandom seems very weird. I see so many clickbaity articles that make it sound like there's been an announcement, when there very much hasn't been. But no wonder, when the fandom jumps all over ANYTHING as "proof."

Yeah, when the lows stay above 70, that's definitely rougher. We always have at least a string of those temps, but usually much farther into the summer. These temperatures this early seems very rough.

I hope the temperatures there AREN'T as bad as forecast... and I hope the forecast solidifies so you know what to expect!

The weather is already weird this year. Apparently the rain we got over the last couple days set a record for the 8th highest single-day total, 3rd highest two-day total, and 5th highest three-day total of all time rainfall for Denver.

And oh yes, a fair amount of Dunning-Kruger on display when people are so very *confidently* wrong about anything and everything having to do with production schedules.

Right? I know that I'm not an expert, so I try not to act like one... but there are way too many people who have no problem acting like they're some sort of authoritative voice on the subject, despite not actually knowing shit, haha.
