In my quest to be on top of the local vegan ice cream scene I went to a vegan gelato pop up. I've tried all the places with actual parlors, but Gatto Gelato is a place you need to follow on insta for info about flavors, deliveries and pop ups. Obviously, I had to go. I got:
Overall, extremely good. It's being run by one guy who is just trying very hard to get his stuff out there.
Honey Vanilla - love it, good depth of flavor of both
Chocolate Fudge - amazing, but also every places goes hard on a doing a really good chocolate. I love it, but it's not as unique as the others.
Strawberry Basil - Weirdly not into it
Orange Almond Toffee - Their signature flavor and the one that convinced the owner to make a go of this. Perfect. The flavors, the textures, yeah, this was the one that made the trip worth it
Cold Brew Coffee - Maybe the best coffee frozen dessert I've had. The owner used to be a barista, so he got "very nerdy" about getting the flavor perfect.
