I just got my pre-trip covid booster and I feel like death. I am awake because my left arm was spasming for a bit where the injection site was.

The COVID vax always makes me feel like shit for about a day. But YAY for the antibodies!! I hope you're recovering quickly.

I'm now running a fever slightly over 100 degrees. Less death warmed over and more death put into the microwave for way too long.

I know I absolutely need to get my covid and flu shot appointments made, but I am dreading the "feel like death" reaction.

My body overreacts to vaccines so badly I've been told to not get flu shots, but I've gotten them in really bad years anyway. I figure every once in a while is probably a good balance?

I only checked my fever once it was way down, I don't know how bad it actually got.

Thanks. I am still headachey and running a fever, but it's not nearly as bad as it was. My body overreacts so much to vaccines I've been told by doctors to not get flu shots.

That's really rough. Vaccines are always hit and miss for me - sometimes fine and sometimes feeling like I've fallen down an elevator shaft.

Yeah, it sucks. I basically need to plan to be sick for three days. Still, better this than being sick in New Orleans

That seems reasonable! My reactions aren't so bad I've ever been warned away from getting them, but I reacted pretty badly to a chickenpox shot, and the covid vax has knocked me down for about 48 miserable hours every time.

Ugh, I hope the reaction has run its course and you're feeling better + are well-protected now!

I'm feeling better, but even yesterday my temp was running hotter than normal. Man, that just crunched my whole week
