Ever been out on a long photo walk to start your photography year off strong and realize that the camera isn't fucking writing data to the card??? Also, my external drive is chugging in a way that scares me.

I rarely check my photos when shooting unless it's really dark out or otherwise a tricky shot. For some reason I suddenly imagined what it would be like to get home and none of my data was there so I checked and no... oh no.

Something is fuckety mcduckety with my settings so I need to factory reset my camera. Also, I've ordered new drives so I'll be doing a sort of reset on my files.

But, I did check while I was out and salvaged some shots:

Full photo post soonish, right now I am going to wait for my new drives to arrive and sort of organize things. I really should do a lot of organizing and archive old raws and stuff, but I do not have time for that right now. I am going to just... something.

OMG! That's intensely distressing. Fingers crossed for the reboot working.

Oh no!

I'm glad you realized what was happening, but oof, terrible!

External drive making a concerning noise is... definitely concerning.

Love the perspective in that shot!

I hate when stuff breaks. Especially when a LOT of stuff breaks in close succession.
