* The Fallen London TTRPG hit over a million in funding so all announced stretch goals got unlocked. Since TTRPG books are typically printed in China, they may have re-adjusted goals during the kickstarter for some reason. Still, it's amazing for them to hit that goal and I will now sit here and wait for my pretty dice.
* This is a youtube video on the secret economics of D&D. It doesn't really go in depth, but it gives a bit of an overview of all the dice makers, content creators, people who work for content creators and just how massive these markets are. And oh hey, I recognize someone in the video!
That one guy getting a ton of venture capital because he was like 'people having scheduling problems for D&D is a problem maybe tech can solve' is, just, wow.
If anyone is curious about the topic for like writing research I know more about some of these topics than the video shows. Someone could make a much, much crunchier video about all of that. (And also if I was smarter I'd have gotten involved in the paid writing opportunities in TTRPGs... rather than sometimes writing about characters who make money writing adventures)
