Jan. 28th, 2023 02:40 pm* I've had a lot of 'is this stupid expensive or is my brain not adjusting to current cost of living' moments in the past several months. I am currently having that mental struggle with some patreon-only art tutorials I saw advertised.
* A few years ago when I started doing isometric stuff there really weren't many tutorials online. Even the skillshare ones were anemic and more focused on like general art technique. I made up my very messy workflows for both traditional and digital ones. I'm glad I found the Art with Flo ones. I wanted to join the patreon but yeah, see above.
Also, I should do more short/simple iso rooms rather than having every project be some complicated thing with eleventy billion meta thoughts on the canon and taking into account whether this would work as an actual phasmophobia map... I should do that *after* I finish my current project.
* I went out briefly last night just to get the daily walk in and the store I want to for a soda was closing early due to robberies. There were also a lot of people just out, some yelling... nothing like horrible but just a lot of people out and things felt very unsettled. I want certain streets a lot, like daily... usually at the same time. Things weren't obviously bad, but things were loud and also a few cars were blowing lights in a way that was likely street racing because they assume the cops were too busy and they can play in the residential areas.
