*shakes magic 8 ball*
Jun. 2nd, 2024 04:07 pmThere is going to be a -2 low tide event on July 22nd and I am trying to figure out if that is enough to see the Ghost Forest. I went to see it during a low tide event in 2019 and I remember that the low tide has to hit a certain negative number to be able to see the remains of an ancient forest usually hidden by water:

My gallery of pictures from last time with a link to my lensbaby shots at the bottom.
Last time I was out I had info on what the number had to be, but now all I can find are blogs saying to go at low tide. You can probably see it some at low tides, but I am trying to find out if this is an equivalent event. It seems to be? The Ghost Forest is only fully visible a few hours a year and also not every year. Last time I went was predicted to be the best chance in five years... and that was 5 years ago.
Anyway there is a large building of tiny condos that are all ABNBs and they are already almost all booked for July 22 so I snagged one. Now, how to get there? It was a project last time...
