* Dean Devlin tweeted about something fun happening in New Orleans later this year. It's got to be a Leverage con, or at least a set tour type thingie, right? There has been interest from Creation for a Leverage con, so they may be doing one or Electric might be doing their own in house... because that went so well last time. I'm trying to not get too attached to the idea, but I'd love to go to New Orleans and I want to ride the City of New Orleans Amtrak route... so I may have already been browsing hotels.
* Tomorrow is the reveal of the next GW2 expansion.
* I saw that The Hollywood Theater is doing a anniversary screening of Buckaroo Banzai! Then I saw the date of the screening... 6/3... I only saw anything about it a few hours ahead of time. I realized making it would be tight, involve taking a rideshare over and also I'd have to hit up Sizzle Pie for dinner. Way too short of notice... but where else am I going to wear my replica of one of the shirts from the movie or wear my alternate camera bag with it's Team Banzai patch?
So yup:
Over a dozen people liked my shirt. There was a raffle before the film. Some guy MCing it gave up trivia facts about the movie that were mostly wrong. Please leave Buckaroo Banzai trivia to me next time. I know many, many fun facts about the film. The showing was almost sold out which surprised me, especially being a Monday. Most of the people were actually younger than me. It was like... who are you people and how do I find you?? Anyway, it was cool and it was really unusual to be at an event and have lots of people like smile at me and appreciate me being there.
