I posted the first part of my feature on shooting abandoned places today.

And we had our best site views day ever after it went live. Partially because I went hard at social media and partially because it's an easier topic to promote than others. But in the spirit of going hard on this particular one, if anyone knows a good place to share the article I'd really appreciate it. Promoting anything unrelated to politics or Tide Pods is really hard in the current state of social media. I miss when chasing trends was all about PokeGo silliness or celebs pouring water on themselves.

Part 2 is written and should be up in a few weeks. I wrote way too long on the topic and had to split it up.

I miss trending internet whimsy too. It really IS all politics and the forced tide pods meme. There isn't even much truly great cat video/dog photo content to temper this strange and depressing nonsense. Get well soon, internet!
