Fall TV

Weekly serialized show, weekly fandom posts, evaluating each new show for slash potential, I miss that old style of fandom. I am taking a look at some network serialized fall tv this year, but I doubt any will give me that cozy fandom experience I want.

I've posted about Emergence. I am definitely watching, but I doubt any fandom will form.

I watched the pilot for Evil. It has many things I like: demons, team dynamics, Michael Emerson. The premise is a bit odd. We'll see how it shakes out.

I started watching the pilot for Prodigal Son because Michael Sheen as a serial killer. For scene transitions it's using screen flickers and I am not putting up with that. Screen flickers mess with me. I don't get seizures, but now that I am photosensitive they exhaust me. I am not putting up with screen flickers for this show. Also these particular flickers seem to mess with me a good deal.

Anyone else watching Fall TV? Any new shows y'all are trying?

I watched the premiere of Stumptown and quite liked it.

I like Rucka's stuff a lot, but I am going to wait a few episodes before checking out the show. They moved filming from Portland to LA after the pilot, which is a bit weird. The show is meant to be partially about life in Portland in a specific era. I don't want to get attached to the pilot that was filmed before the move.

Pretty much nothing on the new fall TV lineup interested me. I did watch Emergence, and that was okay. I also started watching The Resident, which isn't a new show, but this is the first time I'm seeing it.

Huh, synopsis of The Resident makes it sound like a cross between Scrubs and House. I might try a few episodes. Tho right now I am rewatching Angel for some reason. It's fall and I want familiar things :)
