In episode 2 they totally get one of the camera units right in the shot:



Why the sloppy partial mask to cover it? Why not just cover the whole thing and make it a shadow? They move into the shot quickly so it draws the eye. AH, old genre shows and their shoestring budgets.

Actually... I was watching a video about this. There's a long-rant vid on YouTube about the "restored" version of Buffy. They changed the aspect ratio of scenes which involved expanding the frame, which involved showing more of the film than aired in the original episode and apparently they screwed up multiple shots.

Hang on, gonna dig around YouTube and see if I can find the rant video, because it explains it better than I can.
