Comms!

I'm start with my photography comm: [community profile] photographyon
Posting can be slow at times, but there have been great conversations there. Posts typically see good interaction when they happen.

I run the Wodehouse / Jeeves & Wooster comm: [community profile] indeedsir
I've run it for about a year and it's grown a lot!

[community profile] historium is a great comm for fandoms in historical time periods.

[community profile] drawesome is a good comm for artists of all levels.

Events:

I love FandomStockings, but it didn't run this year. It may in the future. Note from the mod is here. [community profile] in_a_peartree is a comm that has popped up that runs in a similar low-stress. In additional to looking at tags, you can use calendar view to see all the 'trees' and see how many comments there are.

They close for fills on the 6th, but the mod is in a different time zones so USians should think of them closing on the 5th. There is still a bit about a day of anyone wants to top up any trees with fills.

I will be running Creepy vs. Cozy again next year, that's the Halloween challenge over at [community profile] indeedsir.

Fandom Trumps Hate is ramping up again and spoilers, if anyone offers Buckaroo Banzai as a fandom I tend to bid high.

I just subscribed to [community profile] in_a_peartree in case they do it again next year.

I don't know if you saw this one but [community profile] stocking_wishlist looks a nice stopgap for the stocking as well.

It's [community profile] fandom_stocking.

You had me worried there... it didn't run this year as the mod is a little overwhelmed with personal issues.

Thanks for the head's up about in a pear tree! I had no idea there was a similar thing.

I've seen FTH posts so so so many times but I've never dared to enter.

I think even that might be too much for me, tbh, because then I’d need to bid ALL.

Thanks for your recs, I hadn't heard of in a peartree. I have taken part in fandom stocking before and was disappointed it didn't run, although I appreciate why.
