Picard is really, really good

I had no interest in the show, but CBS put the pilot on YouTube for a limited time.

I don't like ST:D, and I did give it several episodes. I was never into Next Gen. So this show's announcement did not hype me. I love it so far, though.

I'm enjoying it too - the dialogue seems to sparkle, and the actors are very, idk, dedicated to the world of it all, you know? Sometimes it can come across a bit farcical, when it's Star Trek.

Yeah, that is part of why Next Gen didn't work for me. I like the serious drama tone and cinematography in Picard. They aren't rushing to set up the plot/concept.
