Portland after midnight

I am trying to get into the habit of walking after midnight. Even at 11:00 walking around here is still something of a puzzle from all the dog walkers out. But if I wait until after the witching hour I can wander around and get some shots in.

Whiskey Soda Lounge. I need to reshoot this a a bunch. I am convinced there must be a way to both have the 'nope' legible and also to see a bit of the interior tables and chairs. I have't crack it yet, though.

This is another for 'interesting, but I can do better' pile.

Shooting in the darkness is much more technically challenging than during the day. Night shooting/darkness is also the current challenge over at photographyon. I need to do a lot of re-shooting, maaaaybe even consider a tripod.

I liked the first one with the string of lights best. I love it when you see trees (without leaves) in winter that have had their empty branches wrapped in fairy lights. This picture reminds of me that. Well.. .. that or a Mexican cantina. Either way I like the effect.

Thanks! I was taken with the shop name being 'Someday'. I was trying to figure out how to have good composition but also make the name pop. I might need to take another run at it.
