* Every morning when I wake up I think 'This is my last September 27th in Portland' or 'my last September 28th' etc. Soon, those thoughts will be very motivating. As soon as I hit October I am going to be constantly on photowalks again. Portland now being a very finite think in my life is sad, it's frustrating because recently I haven't been on photowalks due to smokageddon or other things, but also really motivating. By the time I leave for Denver my photo galleries will be amazing and will likely blow my old content out of the water.

And, when I get to Denver I'll have new stuff to shoot. Denver will have a different flavor. It might take a while to get into a groove there as no place has a mural or yard art scene white like Portland's. There are so many fairy houses here I don't even stop to look unless it's got a mini handmade BLM sign in the tine fairy yard.

I mean, this is just the side of someone's garage:

I need to reshoot the yard that has zombie hands coming out of the ground holding TV remotes because I cannot find where the frac that picture went.

I know a post a lot of murals and yard art, like the bench of social distancing, but there is a lot I don't even bother shooting here. Portland is a medium sized city so we might not have the most murals, but we do have a mural and yard art scene unlike any other. Finding stuff to shoot in Denver might take more shoe leather. But it'll be nice to be exploring a different vibe.

Due to 'Rona I haven't even been up to Alberta to shoot the Cryptid Zoo.

* Things have been moving forward slowly on the move, but I am getting there. I am not moving until spring at the earliest due to 'Rona, but I have a lot to do. I have a lot of things to get into shape, including me.

* Someone who should absolutely know better posted an obvious fishing email asking if it might be real. Goddam things are rough for people and that makes them vulnerable. Give them a spark of hope and they want to believe it. I just ... omg ... Seeing someone ask if there was any way to find out if an obvious fishing scam might be legit was just hard to read.

What an incredible mural! thank you for sharing it. I'm glad you're able to get out on walks again.

It's great that you can go out on your photowalks again! I hadn't realised that Portland has a mural and yard scene. That mural is fabulous, thank you for sharing.

I am glad that things are progressing on the move front ~ I wish you well with preparations.

I think it's just this year has lasted both forever & been quick, rather surreal! Good luck with getting enough pictures, it sounds interesting, especially the crocheted cityscape.

I really enjoy your Portland picspams! Where I live we don't have art or such unique decorations so it's nice seeing another city's culture.
