Did some photowalking last night. It was good to get out, but I don't think I got any keepers. Not bothering to pull the data until after I've been out again. Man, for all the vast folders of creepy Portland stuff I just keep not getting any luck with finding Halloween decor that isn't like bits of cheap plastic from a big box store. But, I will find good stuff using my usual method of just walking until I find things. On a related note, I think I am close to wearing out another pair of shoes. I need to keep an eye on that.

Last fall, photowalking was no. The air was orange and the AQ couldn't even measure how had it was. It was literally off the charts. Last night was good due to rain, but we are still getting a few nights where overnight the air quality just takes a huge drop. There were a few nights when I was going to go walking, until I check the AQ. So, this time of year is the season I have the least pictures of. Having the least pictures of fall / Halloween? Yeah, that can't stand. Hopefully, I'll be out again tonight.

The air quality keeping you from getting pictures this time of year is a travesty!

I even love the cheap mass-produced decor for Halloween (except inflatables. I'm not sure why I hate them so much, but I do.) But something more creative or unique or personally designed will almost always win out!

I enjoy seeing the mass produced stuff out, but I am rarely interested in shooting it unless it's got some sort of a twist. Any decor is fun, but I want to find like telephone boxes in yards and other weird stuff :)

Hahaha, I get it! Because yeah, the cute but fairly generic decorations fill me with delight... but also aren't worth writing home about. But the weird stuff is rad.

I must admit I don't like the big blow-up decorations either. They just look so sad and depressing during the day.

Thanks! It did actually spike a bit again last night but I decided to go out for a bit anyway. And of course this morning it's down from 150 to like 3. It's one thing to run errands in that, another to be walking 5 hours carrying gear and water.
