I had 100% planned to go out shooting tonight, but it's pouring and may turn to ice and/or snow while I am out in it. I've turned into a wimp in my old age. Actually, I haven't done photography in about a week due to bad weather on available nights. I did errands yesterday and was completely soaked by the time I got home. If this keeps up I will go out no matter how bad it is.

I am typically impervious to mucky weather, but 'turning to ice' is a lot worse than 'ice'. Also, most of my bad weather gear is too loose on me now which makes it less effective. Still, I should be able to handle it anyway. Just need my energy back.

The Santa Clones have been actived and I know where they are. I have like 4 photoshoots of them from previous years, but I must visit them again. Bit of a hike to that part of town, but I will do it this week.

Ice is so nasty when wet and hard to see. That's how I broke my elbow once.

Wet ice is the worst. I am from an far colder climate than this. I'll take cold and icy over 'possibly freezing' any day

I'm an utter weenie when it comes to cold bad weather. I'm fine with rain, or light snow, but "freezing rain" or "turning to ice" is absolutely grounds to nope out imo.

I grew up in Coastal New England, so not being able to tank crud goes against my self image. But I also know a lot of it is being properly kitted out for it, and I'm not. Fit is very important in cold weather gear.

Very true! Having good cold weather gear that fits and covers all the bits you need it to makes a bit difference.

(But for me, I just hate being cold and am a huge wimp about it.)
