* I've started working on actually getting my Jade Bot comic done. It will make sense to exactly 0% of you and it'd have been more topical a few weeks ago... but I'm working on it.

* I need to see if I want to do anything else for MerMay.

* I'm doing some Skillshare stuff, including a draw-a-day thing I'll post about if I get more days under my belt.

* I decided to sit down and finally make a new website gallery, just creepy stuff, and get it done. Just pull from my other fledgling galleries like yard art and make progress. And... again I am just looking at my folders and thinking I don't have enough good stuff and need to shoot more. I'm planning on photowalking Monday, but I can't make creepy stuff happen. I just need to keep looking. I am trying to push myself as hard as I can to have an actual update there. Almost nothing that I've shot in the past 2 years is there and that's a lot of work.

* I am making progress on writing, but I am also project hopping and right now drawing is taking up a bunch of time.

* Why haven't I made myself a Kaniac pin? I need to fix this. I have a button maker for a reason.

Congrats on the comic, even though you are right and I at least will not get it, probably.

I'm a big fan of MerMay.

I'm continually impressed by how varied your artistic/creative output is! Doing writing AND art AND photography, and all of it pretty consistently! Time is always a struggle, and it sucks how time spent on one thing inevitably takes away from another. Or at least *I* feel like it sucks, ha.

So it makes sense if drawing and photography walks and the admin work of putting together galleries and such means you aren't doing as much writing... there's only so much time in a day, and you're spending it on worthwhile things.

Alas, I have never played any Guild Wars 2.

I didn't know you made felt! Though a wool allergy sounds highly unfortunate, and would certainly put a damper on that.

I'm glad the stashdown stuff helped with the organization! Ugh, waiting for ink or paint to dry can be such a flow/concentration/momentum killer. I hope you are able to get some stuff done! When everything is in progress and nothing is getting completed is a rough stage, but once things start getting done, it's quite satisfying. (At least for me!)

I love your photography. I know it takes a lot of time (on all sides - the finding, the walking, the shooting, the editing, plus the admin work on galleries and all.) But the results you get are excellent.

That does seem like the universe specifically just giving you the middle finger.
I would never have known that doing both wet and dry felting would be sacrilegious, but I absolutely LOVE discovering the types of things that are considered near-scandalous in hobbies and communities I don't know much about. It seems like a surprising number of communities like that either have those Simply Not Done! things, or just bizarrely weird dramas that involve at least one person faking their death.

Honestly, the ability to remind yourself of the things you have done is a HUGE help. Or at least it is for me. You'll get this stuff done, and it will be extremely satisfying!

I know we've talked about it before, but the way people think photos "just happen" is infuriating. "Anyone could do that." Lol, not even close.

Ah! People who convince themselves there is Historical Beef can be some of the most... er... "passionate" on the topic.
That type of attitude does sound unbearably smug to me. I guess I just don't "get" that sort of mentality or why it should *matter*. I mean, I get taking pride in the history of your craft, but not to the point of being an asshole about it, or getting weird about people who are also okay with doing things differently/into a different version of a craft.

It doesn't seem to be *as* common a divide, but there's occasionally some snideness between oil painters vs. acrylic painters in the model groups that takes on slightly similar tones sometimes - that oil is the only TRUE medium, because something something old masters, while acrylic is fine for... ugh, *students*, and people who merely dabble but will never be True Artists. It's very silly.

That IS especially silly! They're different processes for different end products, so the "rivalry" seems... utterly unneeded.
