* I kinda want to make a lore explainer post for Stranger Things because some of the takes and 'plot holes' I see people talking about are like... did you make up things to get upset about? But, it would be silly right now because there is more plot to come. In the last two episodes we might get more lore and surprises... especially since episode 8 is an hour and a half and episode 9 is two and a half hours. They are slightly stretching the definition of 'episode'.
Stranger Things sort of knocked every other fandom out of my head for a bit, which is a nice refresher. I don't know if I'll write more fic for it. I'd like to but... also those last two 'episodes' will be here soon.

Spock touching the curves of his ears to re-assure himself is my new sexuality.
Also, how did we live back in the days when we couldn't pause a show to give ourselves a moment when the characters are being very dumb.
This episode was the worst. Spock and T'Pring were amazing. I... like their relationship. Fandom has hated T'Pring since 1967. She is a flat, hate-able villain. I liked SNW giving her some dimension, but now... shit if I didn't have TOS context I'd kinda ship them and I don't ship het! Darn you show, what are you doing?
This context makes what is going to happen more of a tragedy. They actually could have worked. This is pre-quelling done right. It does interesting things with the other show's canon, it doesn't tromp all over it.
Seriously, this episode was amazing.
I loved Spock's speech at the end about being very policed in his Vulcan-ness, fighting to fit in. But in Star Fleet he can just be what he is,non-binary half human and half vulcan.
Ethan Peck is phenomenal as Spock.
