Due to 'memes', Sony released it and it bombed harder. Don't let memes drive anything Hollywood, have you already forgotten the lessons of Snakes on a Plane?
I was a little sad to miss the movie, but Jared Leto is hard pass for me. Apparently, I didn't miss anything! I gotta say, there is something comforting about companies and all it's data collection still fundamentally failing to correctly interpret/monetize human behavior.
* Libre will not let me write 'DMs' or 'DMing'. I do not have any auto-correcting turned on, but it keeps lower-casing the m. How am I supposed to write smut about a certain DM from Stranger Things like this, Libre?
* Speaking of memes and DMs.... I need to re-watch the start of S4 at a point because given the area/demographics, if Eddie's dice bag isn't a Crown Royal bag then they are wrong. There is a Dork Tower comic about the meme of using Crown Royal bags as dice bags before like the internet started allowing for dice-bag cottage industries to flourish, but I can't find it right now.
To this day my main dice bag is the leather bag from a very nice bottle of rum, because it's like a crown royal bag but more refined. I bought it to one-up someone else's crown royal bag. I've had it for at least 15 years. It's meant to be packaging to be thrown out but the bag is still great and the leather ties that were cut to be sort of curly still are.
For those who don't know, Crown Royal is an about $25 whiskey where you buy the bottle in a box, and in the box there is a surprisingly nice purple and gold embroidered drawstring bag around the bottle. Before Etsy arrived and everyone could buy dozens of different bags in any aesthetic, they were sought after as dice bags. If Eddie doesn't have that bag, then someone else at the table has one.

I knew that it was A Thing, but by the time I participated in an actual in-person game, everyone had their own handmade bags, mainly because our group had HEAVY ren-fest crossover.
I like your one-up leather bag! :D
TBH, I know that the bags are intended to just be fancy packaging, but WHO WOULD THROW THEM AWAY?

I do also have a small nice chainmail bag
which Steve might totally buy for Eddie.I keep those sorts of bags and pouching for organizing and also some of my packing tools are re-used packing.

:D I love that idea very much. (And chainmail anything is just damn cool.)
Maybe it's mild hoarding tendencies (which I really do try to quell), but *nice* bags and things like that? I can never throw out! And they are useful for organizing stuff or providing an extra layer of protection for things.
