* I haven't written much this weekend because it is hot and I live on the top floor of my building. I do have AC, but I was avoiding using it. I finally turned it on when it got over 90 in here. It's going to take a while to make a dent, I should have turned it on much sooner.

After today, the heat should settle down.

* I also started the new season of Roswell NM and noped out ten minutes in.

Okay, here is the set up:
There is a gay couple who move in together at the start of the first episode. One of them has faced housing insecurity and mostly lived in a very old trailer. The more well off of the two has a super valuable and fragile object in the middle of his house. It's so special to him he's never even shown anyone before. (anyone guess where this is going yet?) It's also his coping mechanism for having grown up different. Boyfriend has moved in for less then a few minutes and *crunch*

No, I am sorry. Show ended with Season 3. I'm good. I am not dealing with writing this cheap and juvenile.

I was wondering why I'd heard zero buzz about the new season once it actually started. I guess now I know. They replaced the writing team with a bunch of twelve year olds who are trying out writing for the first time.

It was bad before they layered on the 'I've never trusted anyone enough to even show them before'

I have better things to do with my time... either that or Stranger Things has just ruined me for other shows for a while.

* Travel Portland is promoting the World Naked Bike Ride as like a tourist attraction? Okay first off they keep their route secret until it's go time...

I didn't make it through the first episode either, that setup is so cringe worthy I'm unsure if I even care how it's resolved. Liz giving DeLuca her injection was also another oddly done scene in my mind - why didn't Kyle administer the shot? He's a doctor. Although that's just a nitpick and something that isn't all that uncommon in this show. My bigger gripe was the same as yours.

Ugh, yeah, 90 is BRUTAL for inside. Hope you get cooled down. Giving me flashbacks to the house I grew up in, which did not have AC, and my room was in the attic. Eesh.

That is... atrocious writing. Like just so bad. WTF

I don't think I would have made it to 90 before giving in and switching on the AC, lol.

Yeah, that's just... such a cliche, lousy setup. Ugh.

I've made questionable choices at times because I get stubborn about doing something/not giving in on something/etc, so I get it.

Top floor and keeping the AC off for so long? Yu are much more stalwart than I am!

Damn, I would have backed out too. Sounds like the set-up for a 1980s comedy like The Facts of Life or something...
