* I have Cat Game. I am going to play Cat Game tonight. I've also picked up The Quarry.
If you haven't heard of Cat Game, this is the trailer:
I want to play it before I see even more about it. It feels like everyone is playing it right now.
The Quarry is horror game set at a summer camp. I've heard somewhat mixed things, but I want to play it.
* Through all of Covid I felt I had a good grasp on the seriousness and could risk assess well. Even in retrospect the only thing I really got wrong was trusting the one cardio study that set records for how much reach it had. It was one of the failings of the pre-publication servers. But still, overall I was solid on it even before lock down.
I have no bleeping idea how worried to be about monkey pox right now. I've heard VERY conflicting things from good sources. Like, literally no idea. The only thing I have a sort-of grasp on is that people with disordered immune systems from HIV, long covid or covid related immune disregulations are at far more risk so I am not really worried. But like, damn, the information roll out on this is a trainwreck.
* Due to worries about extreme heat the event I am going to next weekend had changed their rules to allow outside food and drink for safety reasons. Also, still haven't managed to re-book. I am not out of options, but this could be a very expensive mess. A lot of people are having travel disruptions and getting stranded from insane rates of cancelled flights and other stuff, so I only booked one small, local trip for this summer and even that's gone to hell.
* The Wakanda Forever Trailer is amazing. Still not sure if I am going to see the film, but the trailer packs a punch.

Very with you on Monkeypox. I super do not have ANY idea what info is good info and what info is bad info when it comes into conflict. I do think I'm at pretty low risk, because I have very little *physical* contact with people, but that's not foolproof either. So... who the fuck knows??
I've had a ton of people I know cope with cancelled or delayed flights in the last couple months, and that just seems to be a bigger and bigger problem.

Date: 2022-07-24 06:38 am (UTC)From:On one hand I am not super worried because I have an immune system so strong that vaccines tend to make me remarkably sick. But, I will want the vaccine at a point. The good news is that we have one.

Date: 2022-07-25 01:31 am (UTC)From:I do feel like I'm at fairly low risk, but with all the conflicting info out there, it really IS hard to say for sure. Especially if this particular strain IS transmissible in ways that it hasn't previously been, which seems to maybe (who knows!) be a concern.
It IS good that there's a vax. I hope it becomes fairly easily accessible before the disease itself is.
