* Three Christmases is fully posted. Hopefully, it will get some traffic.

* I sort of blinked at Amanda the Jedi video that kept showing up in my reccs on The Midnight Club and the Netflix Cancellation Graveyard. What could a Mike Flannigan project have to do with the masses of Netflix cancellations? I finally clicked on it and, oh... they actually cancelled The Midnight Club. That literally did not occur to me. The Midnight Club didn't land for me the way other Flannigan projects have, but it I didn't think it would get cancelled even if it under-performed.

Turns out Flannigan put information on what the second season would have been in a tumblr post so it wouldn't die on a cliffhanger. In the video she goes over the post.

I still haven't had a chance to watch that one, and while it's a bummer I've largely heard it wasn't AS good as many of his other projects, I'll probably still enjoy it. A shame it won't get a second season.

I do wonder how his turn at The Dark Tower will be.

Right? It feels like there's been an especially harsh wave of cancellations from a lot of different services, and I get that it's mostly budgetary, but... Yeah, I'd thought it was intended for two seasons, so cancelling it seems like a weird choice.

Other than Good Omens (which I really did like), I'm struggling to think of ANY Amazon Originals that I've even *watched.* Redemption is on my list, but as that's through "freevee", it's not really an "Amazon Original".
I mean, it's not like I watch a TON Of series, because I struggle to commit the time, but while there are a few of Amazon's that I had a passing interest in, I usually forget about them, ha.

OR - as is true of multiple streamers - I plan to watch something/do start watching something, but it gets abruptly cancelled, which often makes me lose interest. Some stuff is, I'm sure, still worth watching, but it's frustrating to know that there was *supposed* to be more, but now won't be. I don't watch a lot of series as it is, but I don't want to spend my time getting attached to a story or characters that I know will be left with an incomplete story.

Any of the adaptations that Neil has been involved in have been really good imo, while the ones he hasn't been involved with have been... mixed, or have gone downhill quickly. I think his involvement (and the level of creative control that he's generally granted) has helped a lot.

It's true! For Shadow and Bone, at least you can see where the story was intended to go, even if the show and the books diverge partially. I really do need to rewatch the first season.

That's a shame about Locke & Key - it sounded like a thing I'd be very into, but some other people told me the same thing. And "adventure story with kids in it" is something I can get into... "kid's adventure story" not so much.
