I had some medical appointments yesterday and wound up so wrecked that when I was making that photo post, I actually had to take it in chunks. I literally took a nap between completing the post and actually hitting post. It's clearing up now, but holy heck.

I have fandomtrees gifts to read and other stuff to get caught up on and I will soon, but yesterday and today are just toast.

Also I have so many health problems that are highly unusual for my age that the doctor thought I had a substance abuse problem and was worried giving me a medication because it has a bad interaction with alcohol. Me not drinking for a month is not a big deal I swear to fuck. Got I hate doctors they never believe a thing I say and, ironically, enjoy lying to me. I give them money and they treat me like shit.

Turns out an 'untreatable' condition I've had since I was sixteen does have a standard course of treatment, but it involves antibiotics which doctors were trying to not prescribe for a long time. So, they were just deciding it didn't impact my life enough to be worth it and then were lying to me about it. <- I think my current migraine is mostly a stress reaction to realizing doctors have been just going 'nah, we don't think this person is worth having treatment'

Hopefully. At this point I don't think they can help much, but maybe now I can treat flare ups.

If they told you any time after 1999 that Lyme is untreatable, you should sue.

It's not Lyme disease, despite me being from Connecticut.

I am so sorry, I also consistently have absolutely terrible experiences with doctors who don't believe me about anything. Sorry I'm a human being and not a textbook?

I'm sorry you've dealt with it, too. It's like... this is only my life we are talking about here.

I am SO sorry that doctors are so often awful. Straight up LYING to you about whether something you have can be treated is just... absolutely unacceptable. That should absolutely be fucking malpractice.

I've been lied to about a variety of things. I just can't get into all of it now because I am still coming out of this migraine and I need to noooot re-trigger it. I just don't know how to get doctors and nurses to treat me like a person.

Ugh, definitely don't retrigger the migraine. But that's so extremely frustrating, and I'm so sorry. Having medical professionals NOT take you seriously and not treat you like a real, rational adult is awful.
