* The new Snowflake Challenge is to make goals for the year, and right now I am just not. My year is likely to be a bit chaotic. I have some very large unknowns. Also, while I didn't meet my writing goals technically last year... I wrote some longer stuff so I actually wrote an amount equivalent to what I intended.

So, I am focusing more on short term goals. Next month is ushobwri 's WIPed into shape month and I want to work on two of my longer WIPs and get one out and done during the month long challenge and get another out fairly soon. I also want to finish the Steddie Apartment drawing I am working on and drag myself through a few art tutorials.

* Also, there is another Murderbot booking coming out? I really need to read past book 1. Also, I thought the last book was the end? Perhaps I heard wrong. Anyway, I am going to get through more books and also get caught up in Murderbot.

* I am very intrigued by the buzz around The Last of Us show... I may consider finding a way to watch it

I did my goal setting already, ha, but I'm still struggling with the specifics.

I'd forgotten that February is WIPed into shape! I wonder if I can get going on something by then so I can try to utlize the energy!

There is another Murderbot book coming out, and I am very excited! I don't recall ever hearing anything about the series ending with previous books... the most recent novella that came out is set before the novel (though after the other novellas) in the timeline, so I think that threw some people off though.
I deeply enjoy the Murderbot series, so I hope you have a chance to read them!

I keep hearing such good things about The Last of Us! I do not have HBO, and hate to reward them with a new subscription, but... I might give in, OR try to head back to the internet high seas.

I have a lot of WIPs... as I've mentioned. I need to get my head in the game, pick one or two and end them. Kill them dead.

I really need to get caught up in Murderbot!

Arg, HBO wont let me buy the show as a season on Amazon. I can only subscribe for... a lot of money. oof. Ah, well... maybe someday.

Yeah, narrowing down on a couple and just running them down 'til they're done tends to be the most effective way. Persistence predation!

Ugh, I know. I keep getting ads for HBO and I just don't feel like I want to throw that many dollars at them for the like, two shows I'm interested in seeing. (And I don't want to reward them with subscriber numbers when they're still doing garbage shit where they cancel and pull completed seasons of things!) I could hope that the series will be available for purchase as a standalone thing once its done... but I'm not sure that's something to count on.

Yeah, just a focus thing to nail down the plots and things. Also, scoping, the eternal problem of scoping.

Yeah, HBO cut a bunch of stuff. It would take like a couple of 15/month subs to follow along and then you lose access when you unsub. That's why I just randomly buy seasons sometimes. Maybe some suck, but eh.

Yeah... I'd much rather buy seasons of what I actually want to watch than pay a pricey subscription fee (even at $9.99, if I'm willing to deal with ads) when there's not all that much I'm interested in. I'm sure I could find a few other movies or things that would interest me, but I'm still not sure it's worth the price to me.

And yeah, HBO's whole merger/consolidation thing still seems to be a nightmare, and that makes me not really want to spend money on their stuff in general. (Buying a specific thing that appeals feels less like blanket support, lol.)

Yeah, they are a mess right now and 30/45 just to rent a series you can't rewatch when you want just... yeah, no. Unless it's one of my top established fandoms, nope

No kidding. That is an *obscene* price for a *rental.* I'll buy it in physical format if it gets released, and if it doesn't? Well... the internet is full of wonders. Or I just won't ever see the show, which is frankly the most likely outcome for me, haha. (Which is a bummer, because sometimes I'd love to be in on a thing that everyone seems excited about.)

Yeah, I want in on the exciting thing people are talking about... not to be posting about I Can't Believe It's Not Teen Wolf. That's just too much, though. I will pay silly money for Stranger Things and Leverage (if I need to, Leverage is mostly free), anything else, nope

But yeah - paying that sort of money had better be for something I REALLY love.
