* What the actual... Musk is suspending people for defending their own copyrights, like photographers who DMCA people stealing their content... ya know, the thing I have to do to keep people from stealing/monetizing my shit. Just what the actual fuck.

I am so sick of people trying to strip small creators of... everything. Between plagiarism bots to 'copyright minimalists' to this shit. Just kick people while they are down in favor of corporate growth.

I also hate people being pro-plagiarism bots because treating creators like shit and shilling for google is a good use of their time? What the fuck is wrong with people?

And you know that Musk is only going to go after small creators and not, yanno, Disney.

I am just going to make a blanket fort and sulk in it and try to finish my current projects while everyone else just fucking steals everything and uses it for money and engagement.

I wish I were surprised. Musk mocking the idea that he needs to credit the artists of things he reposts, or ask their permission before doing so, is not new.

There is something deeply ironic about Musk, who bought Tesla to pretend he's a creator of things, attacking people who actually create things.

Who makes things, who creates them, doesn't matter. It's all about who can grab control and play pretend.

There is probably a snappier way to express what I am trying to say, but I am just so done right now.

Also Musk spent part of today attacking an actual entrepreneur whose work twitter bought... but I assume you saw the thing about him berating a disabled employee and twitter and then trying to take it back? He works for twitter because twitter bought his company.

I also saw Tesla stock price took a hit because apparently the guy's contract includes, if Twitter fires him, the rest of the payment for buying the guy's company comes immediately due, and apparently people who own Tesla stock are concerned that Musk cannot afford the estimated hundred million dollars he now needs to pay the guy.

And most of his wealth is Tesla stock, so that messes him up a good bit. Wish it would take a much bigger hit and stick for once.

And of COURSE it'll just be small creators getting hammered. Weaponized DMCA stuff is a big issue - I know it's fucked a LOT of people on youtube - but that is absolutely not the way to deal with it.
