Pride flag yarn bombing, but with my real camera so the colors are better:

Ducks! and cat!

Train! Not really the shot I want yet, but I took some swings at it.

Ah, scenic Portland beaches. Since I was up in St. John for the Wonderwood Springs Pride event, which I'll post about separately, I sort of hung out in the area and then ambled along Lombard for a while.

I also shot this pizza place because it's used in shows and films a lot as a 'Portland establishing shot'. I knew I'd seen it recently... then I remembered it was the one scene of the Portland episode of Quantum Leap shot in Portland, to show that it was Portland. Logistically, that scene happening all the way in St John makes 0 sense, but eh. Anyway, vintage gas station turned pizzaria, as seen in Portland episodes of shows.

Though, my own lunch was at a McMenamins, and this is the entrance.

I cannot embed a short, but I made one of the gallery.

The duckies are all so cute! (Love that hydrangea behind them, too.)
That first shot of the train through the fence is really cool. Love the way it frames.

The fern-draped entrance to your lunch spot is wonderful.
The little art gallery is so cute. And the comic library is neat!

I want a clearer shot of the bridge and the track merge, not sure if I have the lenses for it, though.
I really need to paint something easy and have it on hand to place in galleries. I keep overthinking it

Date: 2023-07-25 04:03 am (UTC)From:You should definitely do a couple little paintings for the galleries! I'm no stranger to overthinking, but I think you could do something very neat and simple. Even just small versions of some of the elements you've used in journal layouts could be cool.
