Tragically, I found out that Threshold, one of my favorite breweries, has a tap room not far from me... when I had just walked out of Montvilla Brew Works where I'd had an entire 8 ounces of porter and drank it in under an hour. I'm not being sarcastic, me drinking a half pour over the course of an hour is my limit.
I did some photowalking and I am pretty sure I got some shots. After a few hours of walking I spotted Montavilla Brew Works and decided to chill and do some writing there. When I left I walked around Montavilla and spotted Threshold and was all but... but... no, not I really, really cannot.
Peregrin Barrel Aged Palo Santo Porter, and yes it's Peregrin as in Pippin Took. A lot of the names are LOTR refs. It comes in pints, but a pint is too much for me. ... wait, if it's barrel aged shouldn't it be Bilbo instead of Pippin? Anyway, it was delicious.
I should walk around Montavilla more, it's a weird little like micro-neighborhood that is arty and old fashioned but also filled with like building materials centers that sell to builders not customers. It's industrial and also has an antique mall. The movie theater is currently showing The Apartment, though Cowboy Bebop and Dr. Strangelove are on the marquee as coming soon. Montavilla makes no sense, but it likes it that way.
