* Experimenting with changing my writing pen from a Pilot G-2 to a Uni Jetstream. Jury is still out, but it's nice that the Uni Jetstream ink dries faster. I am very used to getting ink on my hands using the Pilot G-2.
* I am halfway through a youtube video showing how trolleys shaped eastside Portland, it's neighborhoods and many buildings. Also, some businesses from the street car era still exist. But he opened the video with 'if you only know Portland from the news, you'd be forgiven for thinking it's a bombed out crater', and no... no one sane thinks that. Then he made some odd jabs at the city in between good info. Right where I paused he said he was talking with a lady about how the weather makes people here bipolar and he thinks that's not far off. Fucking what?
I didn't know our large roller rink was an artifact of street cars, a way to drive ridership on weekends. A lot of Portland's character is likely due to them, but I cannot get through this video.
I am fine with criticizing Portland, but this is crap.

Date: 2024-04-27 06:12 pm (UTC)From:Definitely recommend trying a Pentel EnerGel for a smooth, non-smeary writing pen if you haven't yet. They're my absolute favorite and a common suggestion for quick drying ink.
