I have made an executive decision regarding time. The big novel writing in a month thing is actually next month, not this month. Yeah, I am not behind, it's just... it's not even time yet.
Also, I ordered a 12 day advent calendar which is very confusing, because when open things? I'd do it Dec 1-12, but that's when I'll be gone. So, I just opened a random box today because I felt like it. Day 7. Time is what I say it is.
It's the Archer & Olive Advent Calendar, and it's at least somewhat holiday themed so it makes sense to have the items opened and ready for using during that time period. Also, I might want some items for my trip, since it will be snowy probably. I did bring washi to New Orleans for my travel journal. My main problem was that I had too many washi that suited a NOLA vibe so it was hard to choose. One box in the advent is probably washi, so I'll probably just open that tonight.
I am not in a hurry to open the boxes. I like having a little pile of things to open. I might enjoy them more as mystery packages, and things to open are nice to have over the holidays, but if I leave them unopened I'll miss chances to use them.
Ironically, my decision to randomly open a box was inspired by the timing mess of my replacement laptop delivery. Why can't UPS just hold the item at their office so I can pick it up rather than dealing with 13 hour delivery windows? I tried to get them to hold the package and they say they can't. Sadly, my time control powers are limited.
