Challenge #7
In your own space, create a list of at least three things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a wishlist of sorts. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your wishlist if you feel comfortable doing so. Maybe someone will grant a wish. Check out other people's posts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.
One weirdly specific wish... I've got a multi-chapter The Librarians / The Backrooms fic that's been languishing at nearly done for a while. Since promo is starting for the new Librarians show and also there is a Backrooms movie that is probably fairly near completion, I kinda want this out ASAP. Is there anyone who is familiar enough with The Librarians to read it in it's current state and give some feedback? Being familiar with Backrooms lore is a plus, but I am not assuming audience knowledge of them.
Oh, wait it's at least 3 things... uh...
Two: I am trying to establish a photography account over on BlueSky. this is a link to my top ten photos of last year. If you'd be so kind as to take a peek and reskeet any you like, that would be amazing. I also post all my photos to Tumblr if you use that site
Three: I am looking to get drawings done of my D&D characters. I want to make stickers to put in my D&D and other journals, and also I am trying to get my DM to remember I am playing a Dwarf not human.
Context - Marcus is a standard D&D character who was run in a Golden Compass campaign. Alec and Tristan are run in Val'Ruvina: The Leyfarer's Chronicle - a homebrew world setting using D&D's Open Gaming License. I am in one of 25 groups playing along a continuing storyline. Elf races are fully custom there. Dwarves are super rare and scattered.
Alec Mason
Mountain Dwarf, Ranger 6 and just got a level in barbarian as well (don't tell my DM, that's going to be a surprise next session). Alec is my 'Leyfarer Main', because you can only have one character who is formally part of the organization.
A Dwarf, but a young one cut off from dwarf society. He has a thick mustache and beard, but the beard is not long. Beard is trim, but still comes to a natural looking point, about mid-neck. Hair is long with a few scattered braids. Hair is medium-dark brown with a hint of red. Skin was light, but is now a bit burnished from the sun. Prominent brow, and also very apple-y cheeks. Apple-y in shape, not color, but a bit of red would probably work.
He's pretty messed up from how rare Dwarves are and how unforgiving the few he finally met were. He enjoys being a Leyfarer, though, all the adventuring and helping people.
Marcus
Wood Elf, 6 in Wizard (Necromancer) and 4 in Rogue (Phantom)
Dressed in formal western wear with a collared shirt, bolo tie, vest, jacket and cowboy hat. Tanned medium skin tone. Long, straight, dark hair. Dark but still distinctly brown eyes.
Tristan Movere
Shadow Elf, right now just a level 1 rogue but I intend to level him into Marcus' phantom/necromancer build. It's just such a good build, and such a me-coded build. This is going to be my 'Leyfarer Alt' who can only run in side quests, but I already adore him.
My visual starting point for Tristan is Tim Henson, lead guitarist of Polyphia. Tristan is a type of elf that has a strong contrast between hair and skin color in some way. So lighter skin than Tim, darker hair and red eyes. He has tattoos, but less visible, a large moth on his chest where the tops of wings and maybe an antennae are visible above his collar. (Crew neck or henley collar, to contrast Marcus' more formal look) He is going to be from the Scorchlands, which is the wild west section of Val'Ruvina. He's a thief who had a cozy lair with lots of treasure, but ran his mouth too much trying to flirt and another thief robbed him, so he's over both truth and love. He's hanging with the Leyfarer do-gooders because they acquire such interesting treasures and also they have ways to get out of the Scorchlands, they must, they got here somehow.
