Recently, for my photowalks I do grids of my neighborhood. I am trying to find all the things and make sure I hit all the little side streets. Yesterday I went way far south instead, outside of my current grid area and away from the streets that have become familiar to me over the past several years.

And it's a good thing I did because if I'd stayed on familiar streets, kept working on my project to find every quirk, I'd have been in the middle of several crime scenes. Someone was driving around deliberately trying to hit pedestrians. The parts of the city I know best all become crime scenes while I was tromping through muddy dirt roads in Fo Po. I am looking at his route map now and he hit the corner of the block I lived on for ten years. My original plan for yesterday involved staying on one of those streets for an hour or two and trying to get a certain shot. But, I decided to mix things up and go someplace less familiar.

Why someone went on a hit and run spree is still unknown.

Sometimes I take pretty photos of cute things:

Very cute, folksy, I love the contrast between yarn art and the metal fencing.

And this is awesome:

But a lot of the pictures I took yesterday involve spiders! My quarry that I walked 7 or so miles to get is Oogy Boogy ... or rather it's Trump pulling off his mask and blazer and revealing that he is Oogy Boogy. Because my standards for what is creepy and what is not tends to be very different from most people's I am going to put him and also the other finds from yesterday under a cut.

Small spiders, large spiders, a cat and some other stuff )
