I use subscribe to one of those art supply subscription boxes. I really like it. But the day after I finish re-doing my watercolor palette a box arrives with a paint that has cadmium and lead. Lead! But wait, it gets worse. These art supplies, this brush and paper and these colors are obviously meant to be used for a splatter technique that involves getting it all over your hands and your work area. I'm sure it's a trivial amount but again, just no?
The good thing is that due to California being really strict, if you want to sell to all 50 states you have to label anything with any lead content. So, I am not worried about my other paints having lead. This one tho, nice big warning of lead.
I'll stop babbling about paint now, but the company is in West Linn so it's literally a tube of local Oregon honey and with lead put in it. Also maybe it's time to unsub and donate what I am not using to Scrap. (Local thrift store that does arts and craft supplies)

I learned a lot from the art sub box, but I hate wasted resources so I need to get everything I don't use off to places that will. Also, I am way past the point where random watercolor tubes are useful to me.
