Right now my flist has a lot of 'year in review' posts and soon I'll see seeing New Year's Resolutions. I am not going to look back at how I did with my goals because my 2019 involved the following:
* A three month migraine due to repeated errors on the part of a doctor.
* My Dad's passing.
* Flu for about 6 weeks.
* Stress because someone was trying to stir drama about me on the Nonny Meme, a few other places where I could see her trying to stir shit and maybe there were more I didn't see.
* Going to Alaska. I was only gone for about two weeks, but between all the prep work and also focusing solely on photography when I got back, I wound up taking off about 4 weeks from any drawing and fiction writing. My packing was so strict cut the brush pen and travel pad from my pack. (For those who are new to my journal, I have a lot of food allergies and I did a one-bag trip where I was going to be 100 miles from re-supply points for days. Packing for the trip was a project.)
Anyway, between 3 months off for the migraine and one month off from Alaska, when I tried to draw and fiction write again my brain was all 'We deleted those files you did not appear to be using from the harddrive'. Getting back into it was a slog. I am currently humming along on projects better than I have in at least a decade.
So, the key to me achieving at least some of my dreams is making sure I at least do drawing, fiction writing and photo walks three times a week each. Daily is ideal, but not always possible. Also, stretching, other exercise and relaxation.
Everything I want to do creatively is possible, unless things happen that blow up my life.
